NOTO
This small moon of Cepi is consistently raining a yellow acid rain that is highly
toxic and deadly. Frozen liquid on the southern portion and massive hurricane-like
winds make it a very unhabitable moon. It dances around Cepi at a very quick rate.
The yellow mineral is thought to have some type of power source, but the acidic rain
protects Noto like that of thorns to a rose. The moon’s axis is tilted at a perfect
120 degrees to Cepi. This is why it is in constant interaction with Cepi. This interaction
creates a vortex that is known to cause some of the coldest temperatures in the Solar
System. The vortex can be seen spiraling almost reaching out towards Cepi.
This vortex and interaction make for a spectacular sight. The atmospheric storm produced
from this acidic vortex is incredibly powerful and violent. The winds from this storm
can reach over 1000 km/h and have incredible, aggressive gusts that can tear apart
nearly anything it comes in contact with. The storm also has a magnetic field that
is unknown and deadly. The area is one of the most hazardous in the entire solar
system.
The lunar world is calmest during lunar nights when the ionosphere is at its lowest.
The sun shines brighter on the moon during the day, but at night the sun is blocked
by the large atmosphere and can be seen as a mere pinpoint of light on the surface.
This is known as an occultation. The change in color of the moon is caused by the
lights of the sun hitting the upper atmosphere and reflecting the surface. The only
downside to this low atmosphere is that it is heavily polluted. Noto is home to the
world’s largest aquifer, the moon is known for having the highest water density in
the solar system. Due to the mixes of gasses and acids, the aquifers are continually
filling up with a yellow liquid, so the water is very close to poisonous.
The yellow water is not water, but rather yellow hydrochloric acid. The vapor that
comes out of the aquifers is toxic and lethal. It flows like lava, oozing out of
the ground and leaving the liquid. The landscape of Noto is now marked with huge
lakes of acid rain. The water is known to be slightly radioactive, the moon’s magnetic
field is known to be breaking down and there are rumors of Cepi's gas being trapped
in the atmosphere of the moon. These things combined are what cause the complete
lack of any life on this moon.
