12/27/2021 Trogo Development 1.0A - This is the first news update on Trogo. I have
decided to start my own subseed development for Trogo.
The story starts with Trogo…..
Don’t let Trogo’s size fool you; the planet is very large. It has no moons. Trogo’s
parent star is a yellow dwarf star. It’s in the nova-like star formation stage of
its lifecycle. The star is fairly young; approximately 3 billion years old. The star
has the mass of approximately 0.47 solar masses. The primary star is giving off radiation
and slowly expanding. The intensity of the radiation from the primary star varies
daily. This radiation is what fuels the life on Trogo. Trogo is the fourth planet
in Vela Sirius system of Polydueces.
Trogo’s large size makes its a habitable super planet , countless colors of plants
and diversity litter the entire middle surface of Trogo. Every pattern possible is
found on Trogo. Winds consistently batter the South and North poles. Vicious wind
chills turn the rain into giant icicles on the edges of the life zone. The glaciers
on Trogo are the last remnants of an ancient world. The last remnants of a great
civilization that once lived on the planet. A civilization that went extinct a long
time ago, only few of the original inhabitants of the planet still survive and even
fewer still remember their ancient civilization.
The planet Trogo is unique and its goldilocks life zone makes it a perfect candidate
for life . Its north and south poles are covered with ancient glaciers, in between
the life zone and the glacier zone are thousands of lakes and streams that fall into
the valley of were most of life exist in Trogo. A stable atmosphere makes for consistent
weather patterns. Although the North and South poles are cold, desolate and unlivable
its middle zone makes up for the lifeless poles.
The climate of Trogo is a green and snowy wonderland. The north and south poles of
Trogo receive the coldest temperatures and most bitter winds. As such, they are heavily
populated and run primarily by the cold natured races. The cold natured creatures
are highly adapted to the extreme weather. It’s not uncommon to find fast-moving
beasts of the night, so swift and powerful that their natural predators are astonished
by the beasts speed. Being small and agile, these cold natured creatures are able
to cross the harsh ice sheet of Trogo. The cold doesn’t bother them and they don’t
seem to know why. The lack of trees also means that they can make their homes quickly
and securely within the deep tunnels and holes of Trego.
Trogo holds many friendly flora and fauna and various kinds of plants. Trogo is home
to many unique and weird species of what we could compare to birds, squirrels, rabbits
and many other small creatures of nature. Trogo is most well known for all of the
flying species of birds. The main species of these birds are the ugly little red
type that flutter through the trees at night. These strange creatures make nests
of hollow stems of moss and spin their nests out of plant matter. The birds don’t
like being outside at night and can fly fairly well in the clear skies. On their
backs, they carry a kind of umbrella made out of the leaves and branches of the trees
of Trogo. The birds are known to be able to communicate with other animals and will
be seen eating and taking shade under the thick trees of Trogo. There is also a species
of small critters on Trogo; the Gnarlies. These creatures are almost cube shaped
with smaller arms and a single mouth with an odd shaped tongue and tons of teeth.
The gnarlies have a very unique defense system. The gnarlies have a particular type
of saliva that can be used to protect them from all kinds of ailments. This spit-like
substance is considered a natural antiseptic and it can also paralyze small animals.
The spit is also considered a natural medicine and it can be used as a preventative
for diseases.
Trogo’s carnivorous sub-species of birds are also well known for their predatory
nature. The larger birds are the survivors of the olden days and make up the bulk
of the birds of Trogo. These birds are the largest and most powerful of the flocks.
The smaller birds are used for feasting on all sorts of game and are known as either
the meat eaters or the fruit eaters. The meat eaters mainly eat larger game such
as mammals comparable to rabbits, deer and large game birds. The fruits eaters mainly
eat all sorts of fruit and vegetables. The largest birds of all are the Sentinels.
These birds can easily be seen from the base of the large rocky mountains layering
up to the life zone in Trogo. The large predators are extremely agile and can glide
from branch to branch with relative ease. The Sentinels are able to fly for a short
time, but on landing must constantly flap their wings. In the Sentinels defense,
they have a unique system of flight which allows them to force their huge wings down
in order to allow themselves to glide rather than stay aloft. The “wings” of the
Sentinels also have claw like feet that allow them to navigate very quickly through
Trogo.
Most of the remainder of Trogo’s wildlife is unknown. The central and eastern hemisphere
has forests and lot of small valleys and clear lands. The northern hemisphere is
a vast expanse of ice and glaciers and has rocky peaks and snow fields. Trogo is
home to the only wildlife of its type, the meandering ice world.
