This planet is covered in Terra preta, a black soil thats very dark, fertile artificial.
It gets its characteristic black color to its weathered charcoal content and was
made by adding a mixture of charcoal, bone and compost. The charcoal is stable and
remains in the soil for thousands of years and retaining minerals and nutrients .
Giant segmented creatures slowly move across the surface each holding an entire ecosystem
of organic life on its back. There remains react the charcoal to produce white fluffy
mist that covers the atmosphere.
